Returned package from CIC due to Photo

Hi,

Just want to ask you guys if you have received an email from CIC informing that your application package has been returned back due to the photo shoot was not the right size. I am living in the USA currently. I am concerned how they will send my passport and other paperwork back? Do you guys have any ideas?

Does it mean your package has returned so you can send them it back with correct photo size? Or the application is rejected?

And what size were your photos?
