Hi everyone i need some help because were confused.
My friend brother is approved by visitor visa in canada. He is a teacher in philippines now and still working. Her sister booked his flight with return ticket. He will come to canada on april 8, 2019 and he will return to philippines on sept 18. The question is, is the border officer will question his return ticket? My friend told me that on her invitation letter she indicate that his brother will just gonna visit till may 31. Because its school vacation. Is there any problem with his return ticket?
By the way his visitor visa will expired on 2021 and he gives multiple entry.
I need some help and advice.thank you very much.

The CBSA officer at the port of entry will make the following decisions:

1. Whether to allow your friend's brother into Canada or deny him entry - having a TRV (visitor visa) doesn't automatically mean you will be allowed in
2. How long to allow him in for - six months (the maximum) or a shorter duration.
3. Any conditions that he may want to attach to the entry

Now, nine times out of ten the CBSA officer will allow a visitor in for the maximum six month duration (they won't stamp an end date on your passport). Bonafide visitors rarely have issues.

The return ticket, or lack of it, won't really matter. It's all down to what the examining officer thinks.

Don't worry about it if he's a genuine visitor. It's very likely that he'll just be waved through.
