Return ticket - arriving with PR

My husband (PR) and myself (sponsor) were wondering if it was okay for us to buy a return ticket with no intention of using the return flight when arriving into Canada with his COPR? We wanted to buy the return because it is cheaper than buying a one way ticket from LHR to YOW. Will the immigration officers have a problem with this?

It's fine. If they ask (almost certainly won't), just tell them the truth, the return ticket was cheaper.
