RETURN OF ORIGINAL PASSPORT

Hi Forumers, Please advise...CEM just emailed me that they will return my original passports today. No mention of my application status. Is this a good sign?

No mention of that either. Just an email saying that they will return my passport back to me.

I checked ECAS just now and it still shows in-process.

Well your status says "Visa issued - June!!!", so did they say you were getting a visa, but then suddenly changed their mind?

Actually my status is an estimate only. I don't know. They requested for my passport last April, I sent it over last May. I'm staying in Singapore and emailed them that I can only stay here till end of July so appreciate if I can get my visa before that date.

And they emailed saying that they will return my passport. No mention of the status, or whatever documents they need.

If they requested your passport usually that's just to put the visa in it because you've been approved. Most of the time if you are not approved you will have an interview, if I understand correctly they usually give some chance to explain any weird things that they find in the application before they disapprove. So I think you're probably approved. Yay!

There was a user here, Spacely84, he had a passport request, but then later he got an interview. My guess is that relationship background checks out, but there was a criminality issue.

That is what I am hoping and praying for. CEM hasnt given me any indication that there is a problem anywhere...No interview, re-med, or any addtl docs that we need to send them.

I just don't know what else we can do.

Thats what one user said to Spacely too, but it turned out not to be true

limejuice, its a very good chance its a visa but dont get your hopes up too high until you actually get the visa, if u need to, you can order GCMS notes to be sure. Your chances look pretty good though

I inform to limejuice what to do..it maybe a yes she will got the visa or if not wait for another passport request... because her medical will be expire soon..

hI mIKE, yeah, we ordered through ATIP but that takes a lot of time, I don't know what else the visa office would require of us/me. My application is approaching the 1 yr mark and my meds are definitely expired.
