Hi!
I was wondering how you guys go about retaking IELTS/TEF while waiting for the ITA. Do you delete your profile and then recreate it once the results are in? Suppose you have like 469 points and you retake your test and wait for 2 weeks for the results. And then during those 2 weeks all of a sudden BOOM - there is a draw and you get selected. Here is the catch: what if the draw cut-off is exactly at 469 and you mess-up and end up with 468 instead. What do you do? Or, maybe you actually improve the result and now you are at 471. But still, the language points and the test certificate number - everything is different compared to when you were drawn. It's a case of misrepresentation, isn't it?

So what's the best strategy regarding planning and retaking the exam?

If your first IELTS are still valid, it won't matter. If your first IELTS expired, you'd have to decline the ITA.

So it is a 100% true that as long as all multiple ielts results are valid, one can pick the highest?
Why on Earth did I think that the old one expires as long as you sit for the new one :'(

Not sure, it was a wierd thought process doing the rounds. Basically as long as your ielts test is less than 2 years old WHEN YOU SUBMIT you app, you are ok. A new ielts would be valid, but if it's not as good/less points, you don't need to declare it.
