Hello,
I got my spousal sponsorship file rejected because I didn't submit affidavit for translation of birth certificate. My concern is now I am resubmitting my application with new English birth certificate. Should I submit English translation with affidavit as well to keep same submission of my old application or Is it okay to update it with new English birth certificate? Also do I have to attache that letter from immigration Canada too with application which I got with rejected application?

You have to submit all new forms. Some of them may have changed in the meantime. You can use the evidence documents from your previous application. You may wish to include a letter of explanation that you are resubmitting because your last submission was returned and for what reason.

Thank you for your reply.
I got your point. But as letter from immigration canada has mentioned application number too on it. Do I have to attach explanation and new birth certificate with this letter? Or just have to send application without that letter?

I am also wondering if they have checked my other forms and documents too or not? Should they check whole application even they find missing document?

Did they ask you to just submit the birth certificate and have otherwise accepted the application?

Typically, if it's just been rejected upfront, you do not get an application number. If you have an application number, you may not need to resubmit everything.

Read the letter they sent you carefully. What does it say?

They have mentioned that following documents have not been included or not meet the requirements for processing:

Birth Certificate.

And they sent my whole application with this letter and ask me to resubmit it with this document . And there is my UCI and application number on the letter with bar code.

Who translated ur birth certificate and in which country? If ur translation was done in Canada, then I don’t think we need to provide affidavit.
But if it was translated in different country, then you have to provide affidavit from same advocate who translated the document

It got translated in India. But now I do have English birth certificate. So my problem is solved about affidavit.

My question is as I submitted English translation of birth certificate before, now as I have to resubmit my application, can I replace it with new copy of English birth certificate when I resubmit my application?

Not sure about that. Maybe yes. I had same issue. Then, I decided to repay someone in Canada to redo my translation.
According to checklist, we have to provide certified translation for our chat as well. This is also new on checklist.

Yes, you can replace it with the English certificate. I suggest you include a letter of explanation.

Note that if any forms have been updated since your original submission, you need to complete them again.

Then I must attache that letter from immigration Canada as well to give them exact idea?

Hi, Did you send the certified true copy along with the translation? If so, did the translator provide his seal on the true copy to mark the translation has been done with the true copy?
