resubmission of application

Our application was returned in June with request for new paperwork. The resubmit deadline was Sept. 2. We posted it overnight on the 2nd, but it will not arrive until next Tuesday. Does anyone know if this will cause a problem? It's only one business day late. If so, what would the problem be and how can we work with it?
