Restore to visitor, 90 days period is end, but if I have LMIA approved?

Hi, so here is our situation...
Our WP expired and 90 days grace period (restoration period) started on Sep. 4 2014, waited for LMIA but no result yet.
Our restoration period will end on Dec. 3, so we sent application for restoration to visitor last week and it has delivered CPC-V.
We still waiting for LMIA and we don't know what will be the outcome...
But I just wonder, if, we have a positive result on LMIA soon or later, what's the option for us??
Because we have no chance to go to the boarder to get new WP if we passed the 90 days period, right?
Then, do we need to wait until restoration process to be done? Or, can we apply to work permit with LMIA(but to where and how?)?

Some expert advices/comments are very appreciated... Thank you in advance!

I guess your/husband's and my situation are the same. My restoration is ending on 23 dec. Still waiting for LMIA as you know. I was wondering instead of visitor, cant you apply for restoration of work permit mentioning that you are waiting for LMIA, also mentioning the file number?

Coz if you apply as visitor that gets approved and then your lmia is positive, you have to apply for wp from your country. Coz as a visitor you cannot apply for wp/pr being within Canada

This is just my thought. Please tell me if i am wrong

Yes, I was thinking we are having very similar situation...
I think you can try to apply WP without LMIA but mention them the file number, but not sure...
We already sent our restoration to visitor already, and our restorationperiod end today, so we have no time to send new application for work permit.
I need to double check, but I thought we can go to the border to apply for WP if we get visitor visa... can't we?
I asked my husband to make sure with CIC about this point, also the questions I wrote in this topic.
I hope we will find the way to remain Canada...

Hey minimee,

Just have a question. When u applied for restoration as a visitor did u just pay the 200$ restoration fee or anything extra? Its confusing as, some people say that i have to pay 200 + visit visa fee, but when i called cic today they said i just have to pay 200. Just wanted to double check before taking any chances
