Restore my status

hey guys!

I’ve just received my rejection letter from the work permit extension.
In the letter it says that I have to “restore my status” within 90 days. In order to do that I must hold a valid status in Canada, which I do not since I got my rejection.

It also says that if I will not restore my status I will have to leave immediately as I am a person without legal Temporary Resident Status in Canada.

I have a ticket booked to go home within these 90 days, but I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong by staying (I will not be working) until my flight in the middle of October?
Do I need to go to the border and get my visitor visa or is it just enough by me leaving the country within the timeframe of 90 days?

I was on a young professional visa and I’m from Sweden.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

You don't need to restore your status if you are going to leave within 90 days.
