Hey guys,

I applied for the restoration of my study permit which got rejected on the basis that my passport had a validity of less than 6 months. After applying for my restoration I went to the consulate in Vancouver where I was told that I needed a valid document proving my status in Canada or else they wont renew my passport. So the response from the CIC came where they rejected my restoration giving the reason that I did not possess a valid passport. So basically I got stuck in the middle. However, after this by hook or crook my pushing being adament the consulate renewed my passport in Vancouver. So I decided to hire a lawyer who told me to apply for Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) so that I have a legal status in Canada and then apply for a study permit. Unfortunately, my TRP application got rejected.

Do I have to go back to my country and re-apply? The chances of coming back from my country are quite less. The worst part is I have just a semester before I graduate and if I cant make all my effort for the last 5 years is going to go down the drain. Is there an alternative? I really need some help. Hurts a lot as I am just one semester away from graduating. please help me out. Thanks!!

Yes - you need to leave Canada. There is nothing you can do at this point to restore your status from withint Canada. You also cannot continue your studies legally until you have left Canada and obtained a new study permit from outside of Canada.

Unfortunately, my TRP application got rejected as my lawyer instead of applying for a TRP applied for a TRV (Temporary Resident Visa).

After this I decided to leave Canada. I gathered all my documents from the university and left Canada on the 10th of June,2014 (my restoration got rejected on the 16th of Feb, 2014). I went to the States, as I was told to leave Canadian soil. I applied for a fresh study permit from the States which got rejected and was put under a 6 month ban for reapplying for a study permit in Canada.

Now I am back in India. I have completed my 6 month ban and am planning to re apply. Could anyone please help me out here and let me know what the process is. I just have 2 semesters left to finish which is why I really want to finish my degree and come back to India as I have a job lined up in India.

If anyone could help me out here I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!!!!

Because you have multiple rejections on file you should consult a Canadian Immigration Lawyer or CIC certified Immigration Consultant.

Yes - must go back to your country and reapply. No other choices.

Hi,

In reference to the above stated. I was going to apply again now. Just wondering whether I should apply for a Authorization to enter Canada or I just go with a new study permit.

Without TRP, nothing you can do...... Now, you are staying in Canada illegally. It is better to leave in Canada asap..

Hi.

I am not in Canada. Its been over 8 months since I left Canada. I got a 6 month ban which I just finished on the 19th of feb. Now my question is whether I should apply for A NEW STUDY PERMIT or AN AUTHORIZATION TO RETURN TO CANADA.

You need a new study permit, not ARC.
