My wife came to Canada as visitor 6 months ago. We applied for PR under spouse category 2 months after her arrival, along with OWP application in a separate envelop. However her OWP rejected before first stage of PR application was considered. The CIC direct her to apply restoration of visitor status with in 90 days. While we go through CIC web site, we came to know that, we have to provide proof of funds available to stay along with application. However during her visitor visa application she showed her bank statement from native country only (for to show her tie with home country). My question is does that proof of funding is enough for applying restoration of status in Canada or she should provide proof of funding in Canada. First i thought provide my bank statement and pay slip because i am sponsoring my wife. But during processing of restoration visitor status, does CIC consider her tie with home country or not?
