RESTORATION OF STATUS

Hello.. I have a question about a visitors visa/restoration application. My first visitors visa app was rejected. When I called Immigration to find out my options on what to do, they told me to file a "restoration application". I am filling this out now, but on the top of the application where it asks what you want to do.. Do I check "restore my status" AND "apply to extend your stay".... Or just "restore my status"??
