On what grounds do you think you qualify to restore your WP? That has the biggest impact on your chances of success.
Any update? did you get approved? I am in a similar situation but canada immigration is so difficult these days, so bit hesitant to restore my status
My work permit extension application was refused even my temporary resident visa they made it expired too, I have 90 days to restore my status but alot of people that I asked are saying it will be rejected again due to lack of LMIA and strict immigration rules nowadays
You cannot restore status to worker if you don’t have LMIA. WP was refused. You stopped working when work permit was refused. Wait up until 89 days for LMIA. If not LMIA then extend stay as visitor. Then you cannot apply for WP inside Canada but will need to apply outside.
He can apply for owp restoration, that would not be a problem. If u check other posts u will be able that some owp holder got it already.
How can OP restore status to OWP if waiting on a LMIA. Restoration will just be refused again because OP needs a LMIA and apply for a closed work permit. OP cannot work so OWP will be refused because not eligible and no LMIA.
