Respected Seniors,

Kindly help me with following queries:

1, As per CEC the Experience in NOCs must be in last 10 Years, that means any experience beyond 10 Years is irrelevant or need not be recorded in application?

2, Can we change NOC for a job. I applied for PR back in 2005, but application was returned because of change in Government policy where mass applications were returned without processing. My query is that I selected NOC for one of my jobs at that time, that I want to change now as I feel it more appropriate this time. Can I do this. Will CEC take it negative? This job was beyond 10 Years (2001 – 2003).

Kindly help!

Regards

For background, they are looking for the same information as was on the IMM5612E form.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5669E.pdf

Personal History:

Provide the details of your recent history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, which ever is most recent.
If it's more than 10 years old, it doesn't matter. If it's less than 10 years, it does matter, and they want a letter of reference.

As for the NOC, you should put the most appropriate NOC. If your application was returned unprocessed, they aren't going to go through the old one to see the exact answers you put.

CIC is going to go through your application and change any NOCs they feel are incorrect. What's important is that you put things as honestly as you can, as misrepresentation can lead to penalties.

While, in theory, you may be correct, some visa offices sometimes ignore this (London, for example) and insist on the form being resubmitted with all details from the age of 18 regardless. It has happened to me and many others. In my case, I had to account for 38 years, not just 10.

They aren't supposed to do that. Did they do a follow-up documents request to get it?

Yes. And they can pretty much do whatever they want... It was the only extra document request that they made.
