I have a closed work permit in Canada however I quit my job end of April. My work permit is under the Vancouver branch office but payroll was under USA office. This tax year I realized that I have no paperwork and/or any taxes deducted in Canada but in the States. I had to go through all kinds of stress with finding a reliable CPA etc.. ı filed both taxes in the US and Canada. Since the set up wasn't right from the beginning, I ended up owing Revenue Quebec 12k. Company refused to pay it although they accepted that they made a mistake. That's the reason I resigned from my job. However, now I have nothing in Canada, no job, no unemployment. They didn't even give me my record of employment. I hired a lawyer but it is costly. Don't know who or where I should apply to (Immigration or Revenue Canada?). And as you know, it's hard to find another employer to take my work permit over.
Thanks in advance for your comments..

When you say "don't know who or where I should apply to" - what do you mean by that? What are you trying to achieve or accomplish? Are you trying to get the $12K refunded to you by the company? If so, I think you need a lawyer. This isn't something CIC or Revenue Canada will assist with.

Thanks for your comment. They haven't provided me with my record of employment. What should I do?
