Residing in USA - PCC for India

Hey Guys,

I am sitting at 435 CRS score at the moment and trying to collect all the documents. I just have a quick question: I am heading to India for 2 weeks and wanted to get my PCC for India. Is it possible if I can get it done during my stay in India or do I need to get PCC for India done in US from the Indian Embassy? Is it possible to get it done from the passport office in India?

Getting it from US Consulate will probably be much easier for you. I got it done that way: received it in a day. They would just need your passport.
Maybe you can try once before heading to India. If that works, its great then. Otherwise, you are anyways going to India so, get it done there.

Yes, you can can get it from PSK in Indian (recommended), but keep in mind that it will be valid for only 6 months.
If you decide to get it from the Consulate, do it after you come back from your trip to India. In this case, the PCC will be valid forever (or until you decide to visit India again after 6 months).

Thanks a lot for the reply guys. So how many days does it take to get PCC in India. I will be in Delhi. And what all documents do I need to take? And what do I tell them, that I need police clearance certificate for immigration? Sorry for so many questions.
