residential address history

I have a question regarding the residence address: how accurate does this need to be. 6 years as a student, and 2 years as a consultant, I have 'lived' at more than 14 addresses (for over 3 months each). Will lease agreements be inspected? Is it okay if I estimate the dates? i.e use 1st of each month etc...
The same question goes for personal history. I had a lot of summers where I did not do much (i.e traveled to India). Can I leave that as 'educational.

I'm in a similar situation, I don't remember my address from my exchange year from the university, or the addresses I lived at since I started working, ( except for the last one) I moved around quite a bit but for governmental stuff ( my registered address) was always my parents' address. Also they live in an apartment that I own, and I was renting my own place. should I just give their address as my own?
