Hi,

I applied for Canadian Citizenship in January. My total days were around 1300 which is way over 1095 days but still cic has send me this questionnaire.

There is a home and family ties section in that questionnaire which asks for proof of residence under which they are asking for 1) rental/lease agreements 2)mortgage documents 3) Property tax assessments 4) Municipal Tax documents all that. My question is i live with my dad in a rental basement and we didn't do any rental agreement we just pay monthly by cash what can i do in such scenario because i dont have the required documents which they have mentioned there?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Write a cover letter and explain the situation as you just did. Also you may ask the landlord to write and sign a letter for you confirming you lived there from xx to xx

Sorry about this hkdvirdi . Do you have any idea why you received this RQ? Lot of travel, unemployment periods?
Did you submit t4, notice of assessments in your application?

What date diod they receive your application/started to process your application/sent you the RQ?
Is it Sydney or local office who sent you the RQ?
Thanks

Only thing i can think of is i just got my PR card renewed and applied for citizenship right after i got my card as i completed my days for citizenship. I only travelled once in the time period they are asking for which is 01-2010 to 01-2014 and i am working meanwhile. I will be submitting my t4 as they have requested that now.

they recieved my application in 23-01-2014, started processing 15-03-2014.

Its the local office that has sent me the RQ which is mississauga.

I am sure you will be doing fine. So actually you received RQ 2 months after they started to process it?
The RQ request might come from local office, my guess.
Did you check if your received line disappeared?
May I ask which country you are coming from?

At minimum, get your father/landlord to write a letter affirming that dates you lived there. The CIC will take it more seriously though if your father gets the letter solemnized with a notary or commissioner of oaths where he will affirm that the letter is true and complete.

Also, include your complete bank statements and highlight any and all monthly cash withdrawals corresponding to payment of rent.
