In my residence calculator, it shows physical presence as 1071. But my eligibility shows as 20th July 2015. But logically if we calculate, if we add 1071+24=1095 days. So I would be eligible this month end right. Please correct me if am wrong. ??? ???

No - not necessarily.

Do some of your residency days fall at the start of the four year period that you are counting? If so, then as you gain more residency days, you have to remember that you are also losing days off the front/start/beginning of the four year period. My guess is that this is why you have to wait until the end of July.

In addition the observation made by Scylla, this particularly arises for a PR who is calculating credit for time in Canada prior to becoming a PR.

Bottom-line, the online Residency Calculator does not make errors so long as the dates entered are all correct.

Your consternation and perhaps anxiety are understood: odds are you are going to miss the cut-off for applying under the 3/4 rule, and will have to meet the 4/6 requirement without credit for any time in Canada prior to the date of landing. That said, we still do not know the precise date the cut off will take effect, so it is worth watching to see how it goes.
