Can i ask question?
Recently I found out that my father has no record of birth certificate in Philippine Statistics Authority. I gathered some documents to support my father’s real name and birthdate like baptismal, but unfortunately his baptismal was has wrong spelling of his surname. Then i came to local civil registrar of my municipality to confirm it, they gave a copy of my father’s birth certificate with wrong spelling of surname and birth date and they suggested that we need to file a request for coorection of birthdate and surname of my father in his birth certificate for me to get my father’s birth cerificate in Philippine Statistic Authority. But i need it for my appilcation in canada, so my question is can i pass my father’s birth certificate issued by local civil registrar attached with certification stated that it is on the process of correction and some supporting documents to prove the correct spelling of my father’s surname and date of birth such as baptismal with affidavit of discrepancy in his surname, school records and old passport.
