Required IELTS score for NOC 2174

Hi forum members,

I am going to apply for permanent residency under CEC for NOC 2174 (Computer programmers and interactive media developers).

The table given at CIC website (wwwDOTcic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/language-testing.asp) for required IELTS band score is very confusing and I am not able to understand it. Please look at my IELTS band score below and let me know if it is meeting the requirements of NOC 2174:

Listening: 7
Reading: 7.5
Writing: 6.5
Speaking: 6

Yes you have sufficient score for level A NOC. good luck and by the way the cap is at 5000/12000 you have to hurry up

I heard that there is no limitation on accepting application for NOC Level A. The limit is only for NOC Level B.

If there is limit for NOC Level A, can you please send me link where I can look at the cap?

You are good to go. Minimum marks to be obtained for your NOC is '6' in all criteria.

Minimum band required for the NOC is at least 6 in all sections. You are good. Good luck.

The cap is for all the NOCs however sub quota 200 per NOC B

it applies to all NOCs including NOC category A

Total CAP for all three NOC categories is 12k. Of which, specific to NOC B, there is a maximum CAP of 200 per Sub category.

You can check on the homepage of CEC on the CIC website. Click on the hyperlink "maximum of 12,000 complete applications".

It's a relative competition to send in you applications ASAP. Between Jan 15th and 31st, they announced receipt of 3k complete applications. So, hurry up.
