Hello,

My husband is applying for BC PNP Skills Immigration program (paper-based) under the international post-graduate stream. He has received a nomination from the province, and we are close to submitting the PR application.

My husband is a foreign national, and me (wife) and our child are Canadian citizens. Am I required to fill out and submit the forms:
  • IMM 5669 Background Declaration
  • IMM 5406 Additional Family Information
  • IMM 5562 Your Travels
The reason for my question is the instruction guide says :

"This form must be completed by: Your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not)" WITHOUT mention of Canadian citizenship. I have received conflicting information from two IRCC call centre agents about this. Would appreciate any insight on this.

I should mention that for IMM 008 Generic Application form, the instructions are clear:

"Remember that all questions in this section are about your dependant. You must include your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, and all of your dependent children, and those of your spouse or common-law partner, who are not already permanent residents or Canadian citizens."

The best way to figure it out is to call to the CIC and clarify this question; however, I think you still need to fill those forms out!
