Required documents + opinion on craigslist

Hi guys,

I am going to Canada for a 2 term study program and just wanted to know which documents I need to bring to rent a flat?

Also I am interested in your opinion on Craigslist? Is it safe and a good spot to find appartments and flats or would you recommend another site?

I heard there are scams in Craiglist. If someone ask you pay by western union for instance, it's probably a scam.

As you probably don't have credit history, you might need guarantor to give you support to rent a flat. Or you can look for shared accommodations in craiglist, rentbc.com or kijiji

Yes, there's tons of fake and scam ads on Craigslist. Make sure you always
meet with landlords in person and do a walkthru before paying money. And never pay online.
As for the credit history, I came to Canada and was able to rent without credit history no problem.
