Hey guys, I am currently at the stage of uploading documents. I could use some help here please.

  • Document: Proof of Relationship( must provide proof of your relationship with your host or family member). What does this mean? I am single male. I am the only one in Canada with PGWP. I have an aunt (Canadian Citizen- mother's sister) in the same city which I have also mentioned in the application.
  • Document: Education (diplomas/degress)- I have a Canadian diploma in IT(2 years). Is this where I upload it?
  • Document: Certificate of Qualification- what do i upload here? My high school certificates? OR certain certificates that I have gathered. These are not the ones that I am using for my eligibility
  • Document: Family Member Proof of Status- Must provide a copy of my family member's Canadian Citizenship or Canadian immigration status. I guess this is where I upload the documents of my aunt who is a Canadian citizen?

I have a Canadian diploma in IT( 2 years). I also have my O-levels and A-levels from my high school plus

I am applying as CEC. I have an aunt who is a Canadian citizen for a long time now. I have mentioned that in my application as well.

Please help me clear my doubts about the required documents. Thank you.

I am really grateful for the effort that the community is putting in helping me and others through this journey. Cheers.

I am fairly certain that I didnt answer that I have a certificate of qualification for trades. My CRS score is 494. It was for June. I believe the lowest score was 483. I re-calculated my CRS. I still get 494. I put 'No' for certificate of qualification.

I even revisited my EE profile details. I have 0 points for Skill Transferability- Certificate of Qualification.

I did 2 years of work experience here and 1 year foreign work experience. I got 50 points each respectively.

Is the document checklist generated while you get invited for ITA?

What do I do now? Do I cancel my invitation?

Please help.

Okay, that's good. It looks like you already maxed out on skills transferability on the other dimensions anyways and didn't get any additional points. So no need to decline the ITA.

The document checklist is generated based on your answers to the questions post-ITA. You should go back to the questionnaire and make sure you don't have CoQ selected. If it is selected, remove it and the document upload request should disappear. It is possible that you also selected CoQ in your original EE profile (check that too), so if you remove it in the post-ITA questionnaire you may possibly have a discrepancy between your EE profile and your application. Since it does not reduce your points, that's no problem usually, but you should include a LoE to explain the situation.

If you verified that you have 100% not selected this in both your EE profile and the post-ITA questionnaire, then it appears to be a bug. Upload a letter in lieu of the CoQ (because you can't proceed without uploading a doc) that explains that you believe this is an error, you weren't given any points for a CoQ and you therefore don't need to provide one.

Thank you for your advice. I have made sure that I have not selected CoQ. I will check again before I submit the e-APR.

I do have few more questions/doubts. I am hoping to get some help with this as well please. Thank you.

I am being asked to submit a document to "proof your relationship with your host or family member". It says it can include (marriage certificate, birth certificate, an official document naming as you as a parent, a copy of the inside back cover of the inviter's parents, if applicable ) What does this mean? I have to prove that I have an aunt who resides in Canada?

There is also a document upload section for 'Family Member Proof of Status' which asks me to provide a copy of Canadian citizenship for my family member(aunt) which I can provide. Are both the above document and this one related?

As for the Employment Records section- Can I just upload Reference Letters from my past and current employers(containing all the relevant information) and the respective T4 for each employment? will there be an issue if there are no pay stubs? The T4's do prove of paid employment, yes?
It says proof must include 'reference letter from your employer and pay stubs'
I should have stored all pay stubs but I have not. My mistake. Will reference letter and T4 suffice?
Should the reference letter contain NOC codes? or having the job title, duties/responsibilities explain it all?

For the Letter of Explanation section- Can I just upload a letter that is explains everything for my education and work? or is that too much?

Thank you all for helping/guiding me out. As you all know and may have experience these situations, it can get stressful as you do not want to mess/miss anything. I greatly appreciate any and all help given here and all around the community.

Thank you. Cheers.

Thank you so much!. This has been quite helpful. Do I have to provide documentations in English? such as my mother and her sister's birth certificate? as they are not in English.

Should I get them translated and notorized etc? so will a copy of there original birth certificate in the original language be ok? I mean it says Birth Certificate in English etc. It is just the names are in my mother tongue.

Please advice. Thank you.

Any documents not in English or French must be translated by a Canadian-certified translator. You do not need to notarize the original document. Upload both the original as well as the certified translation.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say just the names are in your mother tongue, but if any of the descriptive labels, text elements or anything else on the birth certificate is not in English, you should have it translated.
The descriptive lables, text elements are in multiple languages including English. The name, surname etc are in a different language(not English or French). Will that be ok?

Cheers.
