In my case was very different, I thought they will ask me the same questions, about my reationship with my husband, it wasn't like this.

They asked me about my ex husband and my ex marriage, and about my travel history (I use to live 5 years in Paris)...

About my husband they asked me what he is doing for a living, that's all only one question.

So if you have travel history and an divorce you should expect to be questioned about this as well.

Good luck!

hi Susana. I am a December 2011 applicant and till now application and medicals received pa rin ang nasa ecas ko. My husband is a Canadian, met him online 2008 and got married in 2010. Both of us are in the middle age and have a 12-yr age difference. I am thinking I might be asked to go to the embassy for an interview. You said your husband is scheduled for an interview this Oct. I am just curious what is there in your relationship that you still have to prove the genuineness of your relationship. Thanks

Let me correct the dates. I met husband online 2008 and got married after 3 years in 2011 (not 2010). Thanks for sharing...

If an interview is needed, is it only the applicant that does the interview?? Can the sponsor go as well?

Not sure about it, mostly applicant goes alone.
but I've seen a case where sponsor accompanied applicant in London.

Yeah I haven't seen any.. but you would think if they are questioning your relationship.. the sponsor/spouse should be able to be interviewed as well.

Yeah you are right, Immigration Officer interviews you first and then sponsor as well.
but to be honest, there is no point taking with u to interview.
At interview immigration officer tries to show aggressive approach but if you answer what they ask for, they don't go in detail.

Hello Ham172,

My husband is also canadian from Quebec we submitted our application this June 04, 2012 and he got approved this august 13, 2012 as a sponsor. We are done with the step 1 we are now on the step 2 for the sponsored applicant approval. Does it mean that I also might have some interview? If you don't mind may I know your timeline? Do you know at the end of the interview if it is passed or not? I'm hoping we don't need to do an interview. But you never know. Do you know any of the reasons you had to go for an interview?
