Request Remark on language Test

I apologize if this has been asked before.

What is the general experience with requesting a remark of IELTS scores?

I got the results of my second attempt; L:8.5,R:7.5,W:6.5,S:8.0

I'm 0.5 short in writing to get the extra magic points, so I'm trying to decide between a 3rd (and final attempt) or requesting a remark in writing.

My opinion is that the score won't change, but i want to hear if anyone has had their score increase after a remark.

I haven't applied for a revaluation but I imagine that Writing offers the maximum scope for a half-point increase as it is more subjective than L/R. You should definitely give it a shot if you don't mind taking the inherent gamble involved.

The test result was delayed 2 weeks already, so I'm guessing they already double checked it as I had high scores in other bands.

I'm no so confident about my writing on that day, so will just do 3rd attempt.

It's just so painful!!!
