Hello everyone. Just want some advise regarding my situation. Just foreign worker currently working in Alberta. Apply work permit extension last nov 2015 with AINP cert indicating no restriction with employer, 204c support letter, LMIA exempt. Got my PR file number Feb 1, 2016 and received my close work permit Feb 23, 2016. Requesting some advise things to do change my close work permit to open work permit. Just everyone know's contact number of CIC Vegreville coz CIC representative at Ottawa inform me just call cic vegreville to change my permit... Thank you so much much appreciated...

You cannot "change" your closed WP for a OWP.
You should apply for a BOWP (bridging), if:
- Your PR application has Eligibility passed.
(You can still apply before that, just with AOR, hoping Eligibility will be passed when VO opens your application, like 2-3 months after send it)
- And your current WP expiring date is within 1-4 months when you're applying.
So, if I your November 2015 WP is a 1 year permit, you cannot apply until July 2016, well you can apply but will be rejected.
If you applied PR thought EE, most likely you'll get it by July-August (if everything is OK), so no point in applying for BOWP, but you could still doing it just in case
