Hello I have a question to those who are familiar with this request. So my background has been in progress since November 5th and today I received a message on my GCkey with the following demand:
Military Records: A certified copy of Military records. Please provide a copy of your Certificate
of Release or Discharge from Active Duty. If you were exempt, please provide official proof of military
exemption from the relevant authority
I am from Switzerland where it is mandatory to do military service and repetition courses of a total of 260 days. I finished all those days and I have a letter that states that I am done with all those days and therefore only in case of special emergency would need to do any further military service. I am not a hundred per cent sure whether this letter is sufficient enough for what they need.
Also what is meant by active service? I mean I always just had training in Switzerland and never participated in any active combat or so.
