Request for Visa Letter

Hello All,

I have received the email from CPP Ottawa asking for my Passport and two photographs. They have also requested for a self address envelope along with the email copy to be sent to them.

I have mailed the entire package yesterday to Ottawa. However I have used incorrect envelopes.

Immigration have asked for Express Post (National) and I have used Express Post (Regional) envelopes. I just happened to ask the post office guy abt the prepaid envelope and he asked me where I'm sending to, I replied Ottawa and he just gave me that. I was in rush so didnt cross check as well.

Will CPP Ottawa use the one I have sent? I am resident of Toronto and I think Regional envelope should also be useful for returning my passport.

Please advise. Should I contact CPP about it or just leave the matter here?

Toronto and Ottawa are within the same province and I guess region (http://www.canadapost.ca/cpo/mc/personal/productsservices/atoz/prepaidenvelopes.jsf#When)
If it was successfully delivered to Ottawa, then it would be successfully delivered back, and CIC will understand it (99.9%)
Just for the case (0.1%) be sure that your mailing address (considered by Ottawa) is correct

You will be fine. I too enclosed a Regional envelope since I was mailing from Toronto and got my passport back in the same envelope no problem.

It's in-province so it should work. Even if not, they will just use regular mail.
