Request for GIC even though I applied non-SDS

Hi all,

I applied for my study permit back in June through regular processing (not through SDS). However, I received a message from IRCC requesting my English language test scores, post-secondary transcripts and Guaranteed Investment Certificate. I have not paid my first year tuition fee either (which is another requirement for SDS).
My concern is that I’m being considered through SDS for some reason. Is this normal? Should I do as requested by IRCC?

If you haven't paid any tuition fees yet they definitely want to see proof of funds. Contact them if you have questions.

Hey,

I have only paid the initial deposit fee of 3000 CAD. I have also provided my loan application as proof of funds in the application.
I filled the web form as a means to contact them. Is there any other way?
