Request for a hearing

Hi members,

I'd like to share my experience with you guys.

I requested for a hearing date after waiting for 14 months and after a week I got letter from IRB stating that:
"We received your request to schedule a hearing. When the claim is ready to be heard, you will receive a notice to appear by mail."

Does it mean my case is not ready for a hearing?

Yes, your case is not ready yet for a hearing. As the letter stated, they will send you a notification in the mail, when it is scheduled

Does anyone know what make refugee claim ready to be heard?

Just means it’s not your turn yet. You are on some sort of waiting list. You can’t request a hearing.
