Hi Everyone,

I would like to ask if anyone had a similar experience to mine and an advice on what I can do.

I have applied and for immigration to Canada using my passport from my country of origin that had a mistake in my BOD. Just couple of days younger. I landed and few years ago and all the documents match the passport. Now, my country of origin fixed the date on their system without notifying me and it will be changed when I apply for a new passport. I will be applying for my Citizenship soon and I know that in the application you can request a change by providing the appropriate documentations. It will be sent to two CIC officers and they decide or reject.

My questions:
1- Do you think I have to do it with the citizenship application or wait until i become Canadian? why
2 - Does it affect the processing time?
3 - Is it a simple process? do you know anyone with same situation?

P.S.: Google( Handling changes of date of birth information on citizenship) you will find the change request (FORM:CIT 0464 E)

Thanks in Advance..
