I am just passing through the weirdest problem.
my representative that I hired to file an extension of stay , did complete the application all in all, however she didn't pay the fees ( actually she tried, but the transaction was incomplete) and she didn't notice it when she filed the whole paper application.
I got an answer yesterday from cic, that they returned the whole application, saying we can't process the file because you didn't pay.
they also said, I have to apply for a restoration of status, since the legal visitor status has expired. and I have to pay additional 200$ for the application!!
my question is, what are the chances they accept my restoration of status? second, how bad is the impact of what my representative did on my file? ( I am by the way, being sponsored by my husband here in Canada, (outland application) and my file was sent to my local visa office since March 2014)
please help!
