I got the below reply from Ottawa VO. Any views on it please?

Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.

Ugh. I hate being the bearer of bad news (and you won't know for sure until you order GCMS notes) but it's the answer I received when I raised a CSE about my file. I'm in Security Screening.

What does that mean? How much time it generally takes in this case? Was any particular reason to put ur case in security screening?

They say it takes around 6 to 18 months but these days the general trend is around 10-16 months. I have been in SS since August last year. You can read this thread by legalfalcon, he explains it in detail. Also I am not saying that he is, no one can tell for sure - except GCMS notes.
