I am wondering if anyone has ever had any success at reopening a case which has been refused due to a medical physician not uploading the medical documentation?
I am currently using an attorney for my application to change my status as I am here on a IEC visa which currently does not allow me to work in the healthcare field due to no medical being completed prior to its issue. I completed an upfront medical in Oman prior to leaving the country and was issued with the UMI number and they informed me that the information had been uploaded.
Today I called CIC to get an update and they informed me that the application had been refused as the medical was not in the system! Obviously I am extremely angry about this as it was done in December 2014 and I put in my application to change on 2nd March 2015. I spoke with my attorney and they have told me that they are going to appeal to reopen the case and I have a new medical booked for tomorrow in Vancouver.
