Has anyone here renounced their PR status and applied again?
As a minor my parents applied for immigration to Canada and they got it. However, within 2 weeks of landing in Vancouver they decided to shift back to our home country.
We did not apply for our PR cards however we did get insurance numbers assigned to us. (SIN CARDS)
Now that I'm applying with my own family - my consultant suggested that I renounce my PR status even though we didn't spend the time there and then apply again. I already have my profile updated, however after receiving the NOI from Ontario, I'm being pressurized into sending out the renunciation documents. I've filled them out and have them ready, but I'm still not sure.
I emailed the high commission and they couldn't find any record.
Anyone out there who's been through the same or know anyone who has?
