Renouncing Residency

Can I please find out how to renounce my Canadian residency? I have lived in the United States for the past 30 years and do not qualify, by Canadian law, to be a resident. I need this to be allowed across the border. Can someone help me??

I don't belive this helps me, due to the fact I have not lived in Canada for the past 30+ years. From what I see this determines tax implications to renouncing your Canaian residency. But thank you, because I have not been able to see anything regarding this. I will keep searching through this sight though.

Agreed. That link is of no help to you. That's not what you're asking.

Based on what I have seen here, you need to contact the Canadian embassy in the US and state that you wish to renounce your PR status.
