Hello all,
My father has PR status (card long expired), does not live in Canada, and has no plans to do so. But I do, and I would like him to visit freely for short amounts of time.
Can you advise on how to proceed with the application? This is my plan:
-I will submit a PR Renunciation form, to the local visa centre, which is straightforward
Should I also submit a Visitor Visa application:
a) At the same time as the PR Renunciation form, in a separate envelope (Or IRCC portal Digitally? what do you think)
b) Wait for PR renunciation to be accepted, and then apply for visa (via IRCC portal or paper?)
I feel like a) makes the intentions clearer but I am not sure if it's preferred
Please let me know your opinions! Thanks!
