Renewing SIN card: Service Canada or Service Ontario?

Hi,

I am here on a work permit, thus unfortunately my SIN card expires. Do I renew my SIN card at a Service Canada or Service Ontario kiosk? Will I get an approval immediately? Maybe not the genuine card but a piece of paper at least. My concern is I need it to get paid from my employer

Service Canada. They should confirm the new expiry date.

When you go to the Service Canada office to renew your sin card, they will print your new sin number with an expiry date on the paper right away . you can use that document for employment. your card itself will arrive in the mail within 2 to 3 weeks..
