Hi everyone, I applied to have my PR renewed but my application was sent back a few days ago saying that my old PR card not not acceptable proff for the secondary document.
Here are the documents that they say they accept for a secondary document (I have a California drivers license but I assume this would not count as it would have to be from British Columbia I'm guessing):
•your Record of Landing (IMM 1000) or Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688) or
•your valid provincial driver’s license, or
•your valid provincial photo-identity card, or
•your valid student card issued from a provincially accredited college or university
I have looked over the secordary documents list on the guide but unfortunately I have none of these documents and I wrote this when I submitted my application. I have now left the country for a few months so I cannot get any of the documents they ask for without being in Canada (a provincial ID etc) so I'm wondering what I can do in this situation?
Thank you,
Derek
