Renewing PR from India - spouse Canadian Citizen

Friends,
My wife decided to maintain PR and not opt for Canadian citizenship. I'm a Canadian Citizen. If we move to India due to certain reasons like job, take care of family and so on, can my wife maintain the PR ? I know there is exception to the 720 days rule in this case but if we do not have a permanent address in Canada, how does she apply for PR renewal after or just before it expires ?
