renewing PR, but changed from single to married status

need some info, my PR card is already expired but my status changed from single to being married, arrived here in canada in 2004 and got married in 2006, had a son in 2003, but didnt declared them as my dependents when i got my PR, is it a problem to change my status on my renewed PR from single to married? please help, thanks in advance, happy new year!

were you married already at the date you received your COPR? if not, I'm not sure about your wife, but your child born in 2003 cannot be sponsored.
if you were married after you got PR, and marriage took place in Canada, you might be able using your marriage certificate to change your marital status.

There is no issue with renewing your PR card after getting married. It makes no difference. Or are you saying that you got married after arriving in Canada but before getting PR and failed to disclose this in the application?

If you failed to declare family members on your application you misrepresented, which is illegal, and will now also never be allowed to sponsor your dependent(s) to come to Canada/get PR if you would like to do that.

I think there isn't enough info in the original post to understand - where the OP lives, why the card expired, whether the spouse and/or child are Canadian or not, etc.

But I think, tofu, that most of us here are applying for PR for the first time, so I don't know if this is the best part of the forum to find your answers (though some ppl on here seem to be experts across the board, the majority of us have not dealt with this yet).

I also renewed my PR, I put married even if my family was not declared yet. I have not received a reply yet
