Hi,
My wife's permanent residency application to Canada was denied a little over a year ago. We are currently in the process of appealing the decision. Last summer, our lawyer was successful in getting a one-year Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) for my wife. The TRP expires in late June 2009 (4.5 months away). But it's becoming very apparent that we won't get an appeal hearing before the TRP expires. Does anyone know how we go about renewing or extending the TRP? Is it something we can do ourselves or will we need to hire the lawyer again? We have already spent thousands on the initial TRP application and there will be thousands yet to be spent on the appeal hearing. If it's possible to renew or extend the TRP without the help of a lawyer, I would appreciate it if you could let me know how. Thanks!
