I got my BC PNP last September and got a closed work permit at the border in November. The initial permit was for just 6 months as my application had not been submitted to CIC fully yet.
Since then, I have fully submitted my application and gotten my receipt. My current CWP is up on March 6th and the border guard told me when I did my flag poling that if I still hadn't gotten my residency at the time, that I should go to CIC directly and they will issue a new one.
Has anyone had to do this and if so, what was the process?
