We are applying outland, both living in USA currently. Recieved AOR1, completed medical, file transferred to Mississauga. PA renewed his passport as it was set to expire in May. Brought new passport to medical exam. Do we need to notify anyone of the new passport? Send copies (certified?) somwhere?

I tried to search but got confused by all the acronyms and various different situations and variables.

Thank you for any help!

I assume the PA is a US citizen? If so, then you should not have to send a copy passport in, but you would need to take the old passport and the new one together with the CoPR when it is issued when you 'land and declare PR'. But to be on the safe side, I would take a copy of the passport biographical pages (usually pages 2 and 3) and send this in on a webform - no need to have it certified.
