My husband (sponsor) and i are processing spouse sponsorhip under family class, Do i need to renew my passport (applicant) and change my last name to be same to my husband last name? Or i can use my old passport with my maiden name to submit in cic. Thanks......

If you passport is about to expire, then renew your passport. But I don't see why you need to update it just for a name change.
Not everyone takes their husband's last name here.
