Hi
My PR Card expired in July 2018. I have been living outside Canada since august 2017 . I have been living with my wife who is a Canadian national and as a result have met the requirement for applying for a PR card. My question is :

1) Can I enter Canada in June 2019 from the US border on an expired card and renew my PR card in Canada? Will I be allowed to enter and get a pr card. Also how long would I need to stay in Canada to get a renewed PR card?

2) If I enter earlier( instead of June 2019) , will it be helpful at the border crossing?

1) If you have your CoPR, you can enter from US by car. Otherwise, you'll have to get a PRTD.
2)Get PRTD or re-enter by car from US with CoPR. And reapply for PR renewal as soon as you get in. Ideally you should wait till you get your new PR card before leaving, otherwise you'll go through the same PRTD process again.

I'm guessing you're not actually living in Canada...
