Renew work permit with PNP nomination!!! HELP

I am holding PGWP and expire soon. got PNP student sub nomination and the federal one was sent out to CIC already. plan to renew my work permit but found different types of renewing on CIC website. Could you guys let me know which type i should apply and what kind of documents i need to provide? i found the Employer Portal on the website and should i ask my employer registered that? too many unclear things on the website!!!

Hi Keane,
If I may ask which province? when? And did not understand the federal thing you metioned.
-You cannot extend PGWP, you have to extend your WP under different category
-If your employer is ready to support you, you can apply for regular WP which will be issued for like 2 years. Your employer will pay $230, and enrol on-line through employer portal to fill in the IMM5802 and generate you an ID #, also need support letter from your province that nominated you
-You can also apply for BOWP (1 year) only if you have got your acknowledgement email for your PR application

I am running up on the same issue. Filling out IMM5410E. The story is that my husband is hired and working for the same company, but his permit is localized to the city. His employer has since moved us and now work permit is invalid, as it was city specific. Employer is filing for extension of Provincial Nomination (explaining circumstances), and this is what we have to do. What type of work permit is this we are wanting? I am not familiar with the terms and google search was not helpful. Specifically, I do not know what to choose for type of work permit in page 3, question 1a. Please and thank you for your help.

If your nomination is tied to your job offer, you will need to apply for closed WP using IMM5710. Your employer will need to register and pay compliance fee.

If your nomination is not tied to job offer, you can apply for BOWP.

I am doing the same thing too. My employer just applied online to create an Employer Portal and as they did it there was a message that they have to wait for it to get approved, does anyone know how long it usually takes for it to get approved? Only after it gets approved they can pay the employer compliance fee I believe.

Also, this is my second time applying for a closed WP as my current one is about to expire soon and there is no update on my PNP PR application. I hope there is no problem with extending my WP cuz obviously I can't apply for a BOWP..
