renew TD visa / not Canadian citizens

I'm in situation and running out of time. just got new TN and want to apply for wife and kid to renew their TD. they're with me in US. now issue is my wife's PR is expired and kid doesn't have Canadian PR nor citizenship. can they enter Canada from border to get new TD from Toronto US Consulate ?

Your child needs a TRV to enter Canada.

Your wife has two choices: (1) Renounce her PR status and then apply for a TRV; (2) Try entering Canada using her expired PR card. She must enter through a land border using a private vehicle. They should allow her in this one time but will likely then officially revoke her PR status.
