Hi all,
I am currently panic because of the study permit is going to be expired.
The date signed of study permit 25 AUG 2008
The date expired of study permit 30 JUL 2012
Although I have a 4 years study permit, I only study in Canada for 3 months. My dad passed away on Oct 2008, then I go back to my own country, and now I would like to go back to Canada to study.
And now I am currently ask for the college program and ready to pay the tuition in order to acquire a admission to renew my study permit. But I will be arrived to Canada on 11 July 2012, I'm afraid that
1. Will the immigration officer prohibit me to get into Canada even if I have college admission?(passport expired on 2015)
2. I will renew study permit once I get into Canada 12 jul 2012. Do I need to worry about the expire date of my old study permit while my study permit is in progress?

If you want to renew your study permit, you must apply before the permit expires."

Thank you for having a look on this :'( :'( :'(

Are you still enrol in university/college? I mean do you still have a valid LOA?

No I don't have LOA
I was studying in GranMacewan college for 3 months on 2008

1. Chances are high that you won't be allowed to enter Canada.
2. Your second question is of no importance, as you can't enter Canada. If somehow you got in, then you can apply for extension only if you have a valid admission, you have studied properly and scored good GPA. You will have to apply before you existing SP exipires, so I doubt it won't be possible for you to get admission in this 1 month time.
3. If your study permit expires and you haven't applied for renewal then you have to leave Canada Immediately.

Chances are extremely rare that you will be allowed to enter Canada. Have a look at this case, she was more genuine student but she was denied to enter.

Do you think I have a better chance to get in
when I have the admission along with my dad's death certificate.
But as i saw the case,I think it is all depend on the custom at airport, because they have the right to deport me when they feel uncomfortable with me.

I think it's better for me to redo a new study permit and postpone my flight.
Thanks for the reference.

Can I renew my study permit outside Canada?

I think you can not renew it from outside Canada. It is mentioned on CIC website if you are moving outside of Canada and your SP is about to expire then you should apply for renewal from within Canada.

Quote: "You should apply to renew your study permit if you intend to travel outside Canada and your permit will expire while you are travelling."

then further it says:
Quote: "May I leave Canada before my request for a renewed or initial study has been finalized?
Yes. However, you may not resume studying in Canada until your application for renewal is granted. If you wish to go back to school immediately upon your return, you may re-apply (either at the port of entry if you have the right to do so, or at a visa office) and pay another processing fee to receive a decision."
